Como eu havia prometido, aí estão algumas imagens mostrando a execução da ilustração. Usei Lápis HB para a marcação do desenho e tinta acrílica pra pintura.
As I promised, here are some pictures showing the execution of the illustration. I used HB pencil for marking the drawing and acrylic paint for painting.

Ao organizar umas imagens aqui no estúdio, encontrei essas fotos que irei compartilhar com vocês! Todas elas do início do ano, mostrando o processo de criação de uma sequência de murais.
O projeto foi criado por Ana Paula Tavares, Marcel Martins Diogo e Teresa Daré. No primeiro semestre de 2010, foi formado um coletivo de artistas para a criação de uma sequência de murais, no Museu de História Natural e Jardim Botânico da UFMG. Os murais tiveram como tema as lendas indígenas brasileiras.

Houve um intercâmbio interessante entre artistas brasileiros e artistas de La Plata (Argentina) durante uma semana de trabalho. A técnica utilizada para a produção dos painéis foi o esgrafiado, técnica bastante difundida na américa hispânica.
O muro é coberto por diversas camadas de cimento colorido.Uma vez que o muro esteja coberto por essas camadas, começa a ser feita a subtração da matéria, retirando as camadas que forem necessárias para a composição da imagem.
Today I was organizing some pictures here in the studio, when I found those pictures that I’ll share with you! All of them are from the beginning of the year, showing the process of creating a sequence of murals.
The project was created by Ana Paula Tavares, Marcel Martins Diogo and Teresa Daré. In the first half of 2010, they formed a collective of artists to create a sequence of murals at the Natural History Museum and Botanical Garden, UFMG (Federal University of Minas Gerais). The murals had as theme the Brazilian Indian legends.
There was an interesting exchange between Brazilian artists and artists of La Plata (Argentina) during a week of work. The technique used for the production of the panels was the esgrafiado, a popular technique in Hispanic America.
The wall is covered with several layers of cement, each one with specific color. When the wall is covered by these layers, begins the subtraction of the cement surfaces, removing the layers that are necessary for the image composition.

Nesse desenho busquei explorar o contato da tinta acrílica branca e nanquim com o grafite e carvão. Já fazia um tempo que não parava pra fazer experimentos com o desenho...
