2012-2013
2013 has arrived and it carried a lot of thinking. One of them is about our health. Seriously, take care of your body if you don't wanna pass by bad moments. Recently I've got a serious injury in my right arm that stopped my activities for a bunch of weeks. Due to the several hours working without a break, I've got a tendinitis in my right arm. It was a terrible experience because I couldn't draw anything, my tendon was hurting a lot, as if there were a lot of needles inside it. The pain started on the back of my hand to the elbow. How about the fear of my arm doesn't heal properly? Well, what matters is that now my hand is ok, after I spent nearly 3 months of physical therapy and everything ...
What happened to me could be happen with anothers colleagues. That's why is important to give some breaks along the day to strech up the muscles, do some phisical activities to get the muscles stronger than before, mainly back and arms, cause they are fundamentals for those who stays seated along the day. Besides, a good stance is really important, otherwise, your backs will give you some future problems.
Now, this thing of take care of my body is part of my homework as a professional illustrator! Great year for you guys!
2013 chegou e junto com ele uma série de reflexões. Uma delas é sobre nossa saúde. É sério, cuide bem do seu corpo se não quiser passar por maus bocados. Recentemente tive um problema sério em meu braço direito que interrompeu minhas atividades por semanas. Devido à sobrecarga de trabalho, ganhei uma tendinite de presente no braço direito. Foi uma experiência terrível, porque não conseguia desenhar, meu tendão doía muito, como se houvesse um monte de agulhas lá dentro dele. Começava nas costas da mão e ia até o cotovelo. E o medo de meu braço não voltar a ser o que era?
O que aconteceu comigo pode acontecer com outros colegas de profissão. Daí a importância de fazer intervalos ao longo do dia. de uma em uma hora levantar da cadeira, alongar os músculos, praticar exercícios físicos regularmente pra fortalecer principalmente costas e braços, pois são fundamentais pra quem fica sentado boa parte do dia. Além disso, uma boa postura é fundamental, caso contrário, sua coluna vai pro saco fácil, fácil. Bom, o que importa é que agora eu tô legal, na época passei por quase 3 meses de fisioterapia e tudo mais...
Agora, levar a sério essa coisa de cuidar do corpo faz parte do meu para casa enquanto ilustrador profissional! Ótimo ano pra vocês galera!

Minha ideia era de deixar registrado na porta da sala de aula momentos, sentimentos, sensações, situações, boas e ruins. As representações mais "pesadas", mais tristes, se encontram onde a sombra atua.
My idea was to leave on the classroom door different moments, feelings,sensations,situations, good and bad. Those sad and dark representations are situated where the shadow acts.

I was invited to participate the Kyorious Illutrators Showcase, a special publication featuring artists from India and whole world. This publication is part of Kyoorious Designyatra, the biggest and most important visual communication,design and advertising conference in whole India!

Três livros ilustrados por edusa | Three books illustrated by edusa
Tudo legal galera? Acabo de postar alguns vídeos de três livros que ilustrei no 1º semestre desse ano. Todos possuem um brinquedo que acompanham o livro. Foi bem interessante trabalhar nesses projetos, em especial o livro do Cavalo e do Elefante, por causa da faca bem ousada no centro do livro. Trabalhar a composição nesses casos foi desafiante, pois eu tinha que lidar a todo momento com esse "buraco negro" no coração do produto! Espero que gostem, aquele abraço!
Hi guys! I just post some videos showing three books that I've illustrated in the 1st half of this year.. All of them carries a toy that goes with the book. It was very interesting working on these projects, mainly the Horse and Elephant's ones. Handle with the composition issue on these cases was very challenging, because I had to take care with that "blackhole", into the heart of the product. I hope you enjoy it! All the best!
